OUR STORY

Cleanse Gourmet is an eclectic line of indulgent skincare products inspired by founder and creator Maggie’s love for the sea, her personal eclectic style and ever-loving obsession with fresh from the vine fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts and flowers.

 From a young age I was quite intrigued by all of the recipes in the beauty magazines. I loved to try everything from rubbing tomatoes on my face to coating my hair with olive oil. As I got older, I became obsessed with all beauty products and started experimenting, researching and formulating products of my own which slowly developed into my own style of products that are eclectic, meaningful, attractive and most of all improve our skin.

When I started my wedding botanical business Cloudberry + Willow, I was inspired by each wedding environment that I enveloped with beautiful flowers and I wanted to live in each of those moments and incorporate a piece of those dreamy days into my product blends and packaging. We repurpose flowers and botanicals from local weddings and events by drying them and using them in our blends. We believe that they bring good energy and purpose.

My inspiration can come from a single ingredient and the amazing story behind it and where it comes from to the scent of an uncommon botanical that I special order for a wedding.

I want my customers to have a sensory experience from the moment they see the product, to the moment they indulge in the product. It needs to have purpose, to improve the skin, enlighten the senses and improve our wellbeing with our essential oil blends. I want ingredients that you can see and I want special touches to add uniqueness.

For me, this isn’t just a job or a hobby, this is my life. I love creating new products, foraging the unknown, learning and discovering new ingredients and the passion is always there.

OUR PRODUCTS

A plant based+food grade gourmet ingredients beauty brand that focuses on fresh infusions that feed your skin.

 We have strict ingredient standards using only essential oil + botanical powders, clays, organic + wild crafted + coldpressed oils + organic whenever possible to achieve the perfect blend and color that we desire made 100% in-house in small fresh batches. To preserve our fresh batches, we use green coffee, vitamin e, benzyl alcohol, radish root ferment, bananna leaf, honey, rosemary leaf and natural acid blends.

We use only glass jars + bottles + we encourage our customers to repurpose our glass packaging and we take care of the hard to recycle pumps + sprayers + caps + rice paper pouches through @terracycle, a recycling program for hard to recycle items. Email recycling@cleansegourmet.com your address and we will mail you a recyclable mailer or box to send us your hard to recycle cleanse gourmet pumps, caps and sprayers and we will recycle them for you with teracycle. Our product ingredients are a mix of food-grade, results driven actives, cruelty free, wild crafted, organic and vegan with the exception of using organic honey which we love. The honey that we use in some of our products are produced artisanally and organically without the use of artificial feeds, chemical miticides, heat or filtration and the responsible beekeepers only use organic compounds to care for their bees. We want our customers to feel good about using a product that is packed with active botanical ingredients to improve their skin that are non hazardous to their health.
